  Introduction

  

 Instaphone is the brand name of PAKCOM LTD. a subsidiary of Sanbao Telecom. Sanbao Telecom, a subsidiary of Millicom International Cellular S.A. (MIC) is a newly created company comprising all MIC businesses in Asia, which will be listed in the New York and Singapore Stock Exchanges.

Millicom International Cellular (MIC) was incorporated in January 1991, when Millicom International Holdings Ltd. and Sister Company Comvik International AB, of Sweden, merged to form a new entity-MIC.

To date MIC has cellular operations in nearly every corner of the globe, from Moscow to Mauritius and from Guatemala to Ghana, with headquarters in Luxembourg, covering a combined population of over 450 million people world wide (around 340 million covered by Sanbao).

By concentrating primarily on developing nations, MIC has managed to enter into virgin markets, where the dominant need and increasing demand for state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure is highest.In most of the countries in which MIC has introduced cellular communications, a parallel advancement and development of the nations’ public telecommunications infrastructure has occurred, boosting the economic development of these countries.
